A Yurt…in the trees! – Texas Hill Country lodging doesn’t
get any more fun than this.
Set amongst the whispering trees, this unique setting offers
deep privacy amidst nature, while providing all the comforts
of home. As you walk up the short trail from the dining area
to the tree house, you’ll notice scampering squirrels,
chirping birds and light breezes passing through the trees,
vines and flowering shrubs. An airy deck offers peak-a-boo
views of Lake Buchanan through huge old oak trees.
As you step into the spacious, circular building, take in
the beautiful wood lattice structure of the dwelling and the
large dome sunroof that filters in lots of natural sunlight.
Lounge on the futon sofas as you read a captivating tale, or
sprawl on the luxurious king Sleep Number bed as you listen
to the soft winds whispering through the trees. The rock and
masonry bathhouse seems to grow from the surrounding
hillsides, providing an extraordinary setting to unwind in.
Delight in a relaxing bath in the 2-person soaking tub as
you enjoy the beautiful rockwork and lush plants, and finish
off with a refreshing rinse in the rain shower.
The yurt is a natural pick for outdoor enthusiasts that want
a deeply satisfying, in-nature retreat. Pet friendly.
*Note: The Yurt has AC, but the bath house does not. In very hot weather (90+ degrees) the AC cannot keep up with the heat of the sun beating down on the roof and skylight,
and the daytime temperatures can climb into the 80’s. Unless it is also very hot at night, the AC will catch up and cool the room down, and the big ceiling fan is very helpful.
We do not recommend the Yurt for hot weather bookings unless you are OK with warmer temperatures. If you like to camp in the summer heat, or you’re back from the Middle East, being
in the Yurt will make you think you have died and gone to heaven. If you don’t see summer availability, give us a call.
